  • More than 1 billion people still practice open defecation every day. In fact, more people have a mobile phone than a toilet
  • The average person, taking a 5 minute shower, uses more water than an average person in the slums of a developing country does in a whole day
  • Household leaks can waste more than 1 trillion gallons annually nationwide. That’s equal to the annual household water use of more than 11 million homes
  • Two-thirds of the world’s population is projected to face water scarcity by 2025, according to the United Nations
