If WhatsApp Integrates this? Future of Instant Messaging Features

Innovation is key to success for any business idea, applies also to WhatsApp, the most successful instant messaging of times. It became too popular due to its Advertisement Free interface, Fast and Instant, in past several years WhatsApp innovated the application in terms of its Interface, Features and Technical Capabilities. In January 2015, Whats app added a call feature to target a totally different group of users. Apart from that. By November 2016, WhatsApp Video Calling feature too was introduced. In early 2017, New WhatsApp Status feature in lines to Snapchat Stories was announced which allows users to share pictures, videos, and GIFs with their contacts, which will disappear after 24 hours, but users didn’t really like the new functionality and asked that the old status be brought back. In most of Instant Messaging Apps used so far by users, WhatsApp won the game and was the most successful one in recent years. Smileys, Text Communication, Audio, Video Share, Multi-Lingual Texting, Stickers it had incorporated every feature to appeal the generation and its target android, I-Phone and IOS users.

But at times i wonder how the life would have been, if there is an Instant Messaging Apps with an additional innovative move, wherein users can actually draw on their touch-screen text, lines, curves – Something like a pencil and eraser tool available to them on a messaging platform they love most. Hope if its technically feasible option research and development team of WhatsApp may soon in near future come up with such an application. At times in distant communication, Text and Voice interactions comes up with limitations, especially when one has to explain by illustrations something. So instead of typing ABC, one has option to write ABC, lets not get into its meaning or translation, other side user will receive what is drawn – Irrespective of the language or meaning.

WhatsApp Success Story and Journey

WhatsApp Inc, was incorporated in 2009 by Ex Yahoo Employees – Brian Acton and Jan Koum. After Koum and Acton left Yahoo in September 2007, the duo travelled to South America as a break from work. Koum named the app “WhatsApp” to sound like “what’s up”. Most users do not like advertisements flashing while using an application. Understanding this, the two made an app which is simple to use devoid of barriers in the form of advertisements. That alone made WhatsApp most loved by the users worldwide. After several months of venture capital financing, Facebook declared that they were acquiring Facebook in February 2014. The deal went down for US $19 Billion, it was Facebook’s largest acquisition till then. Till date, this acquisition is the largest transaction done by any two companies backed by venture capitalists.
